I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fort Wayne is where I spent most
of my childhood with my parents, Amy and Ron Gilbert, and my brother, Andy. This
is where I had many experiences; good and bad.
We moved to Warsaw, Indiana when I was nine years old.
We moved because my dad had gotten a job in Warsaw. About a month after we moved to Warsaw, my dad got sick.
This was not a good start to a new life.
While my dad was in the hospital, I had to get on with my life. I like to
think I became creative from the things that caused me pain and suffering.
I think God gave me creativity so I could tell the world my life story and inspire others.
I went to high school my freshman year at Warsaw High School. I went to high
school my sophmore year at Lakeland Christian Academy.
I went to high school my junior and senior year at Christa McAullife
Academy (homeschool) which I am now attending. Notice this is the one I've
actually stuck to for two years. I would definately recommend this school
for any of you that really don't like public school.
I will graduate in December 2003. I am now 18 and looking for colleges.
I photograph in my free time. I take pictures of everything from trees in a park
to kids taking their first steps on a high ropes course.
I knew I wanted to be a photographer somewhere in my heart ever since
I was a little girl stealing my mom's Polaroid and taking pictures of myself.
I realized I wanted to be a professional photographer after having a phase
of wanting to be a storm photographer so I could photograph the beauty of storms.
I realized I'd make more money if I just became a regular photographer. I started
taking photographs after my parents had gotten me a Nikon
35mm, and I haven't stopped yet.
Now I'm displaying and selling my work on this
web site. I thought I'd make this kind of a site to earn some
money for my college tuition. I'm hoping to go somewhere like
NYU. I'll keep you posted when I'm sure. Thanks for visiting
